It was an open conversation about how gender inequality affects the quality of democracy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anna shared her experience in strategic communications and working with government institutions. She emphasized that democracy is not only about the right to vote \u2014 it\u2019s also about having a voice, participating in decision-making, and having equal opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When a part of society is excluded from decision-making, we lose balance, trust, and justice. Investing in equality means building strong institutions<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u201d &#8211; Anna highlighted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Good Politics, values like respect, equality, openness, and inclusion are the foundation for collaboration with both the team and clients. Talking to youth about these issues is our way of supporting meaningful societal change. We aim to contribute to the ethical development of our profession and to a better society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Women around the world continue to face numerous barriers:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are underrepresented in politics;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They experience discrimination more often;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They still have to challenge biased attitudes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result, women don\u2019t have equal access to decision-making processes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Investing in women should be seen as an investment in strong democratic systems. When we exclude a portion of citizens from decision-making, we weaken the very essence of democracy,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d Anna concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drawing on her extensive international experience in strategic communications and engagement with government bodies in Ukraine, the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Southeast Asia, Anna encouraged young people to stay mindful about equality issues and to actively engage in civic and political processes to help build a better society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anna Lachykhina, co-founder of Good Politics, met with young people at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the World War II.
